Rock Cornish Hen with Herbed Rice Stuffing
Ingredients
  • 6 thawed Cornish hens
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1 1/2 teas paprika
  • 1 1/2 teas basil
  • 1 1/2 teas rosemary pulverized
  • 1 teas savory
  • 2 teas onion powder
  • 1/2 teas freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Remove giblets and set aside for stuffing if desired.
  2. Rinse hens and pat dry.
  3. Combine butter with seasonings.
  4. Brush hens inside and stuff if desired.
  5. Brush outside and tie up hens.
  6. Bake at 350 for 1 1/4 hours or til tender basting 2 or 3 times during roasting time with herb butter.
  7. May need to bake a bit longer if stuffed and a bit shorter if plain.
Notes

Naomi traditionally puts Brown Rice Stuffing into her Cornish hens.
