Perfect Whole Wheat Pound Cake

Ingredients
  • 2 sticks butter at room temp.
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
  • 1/4 teas. salt
  • 1 teas. vanilla
Instructions
  1. Cream butter and sugars and vanilla
  2. Add eggs one by one, blending after each.
  3. MIx in flour and salt
  4. Bake at 325 in a greased loaf pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes
  5. Let cake cool and wrap tightly in to mellow
  6. This cake is great the day after baking
Notes

If you use a tube pan or some other format where cake is not as deep you will need to cook it for less time, so check it early.
