Perfect Whole Wheat Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter at room temp.
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1/4 teas. salt
- 1 teas. vanilla
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugars and vanilla
- Add eggs one by one, blending after each.
- MIx in flour and salt
- Bake at 325 in a greased loaf pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes
- Let cake cool and wrap tightly in to mellow
- This cake is great the day after baking
Notes
If you use a tube pan or some other format where cake is not as deep you will need to cook it for less time, so check it early.
