Honey Wheat Bread
Ingredients
  • 4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 3 pkgs dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup honey
  • 3 TAB margarine
  • 4 1/2 (approx.) cups flour
  • 3 TAB wheat germ
Instructions
  1. Combine whole wheat flour, yeast in large bowl.
  2. Heat milk, water, honey and shortening until warm (120-130).
  3. Add to flour and blend slowly
  4. Then beat on medium for 3 min.
  5. Gradually add flour until dough becomes stiffer.
  6. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  7. Place in greased bowl, let rise until double in size, 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. Shape into 3 loaves
  8. Put in greased pan and let rise again until doubled, 30-60 min.
  9. Bake at 350 for 35-45 min.
