Hamentashen
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter or margarine
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teas. vanilla
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 3 TAB orange juice
- jam and/or poppy seed filling
Instructions
- Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla
- Beat in the egg
- Then mix in orange juice
- Add flour last
- Roll doug to about 1/8 inch thick
- Cut in 1 1/2 to 2 inch circles
- Fill and pinch together the sides very tightly
- Bake at 350 degrees until turning golden
