Hamentashen

Ingredients
  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teas. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 3 TAB orange juice
  • jam and/or poppy seed filling
Instructions
  1. Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla
  2. Beat in the egg
  3. Then mix in orange juice
  4. Add flour last
  5. Roll doug to about 1/8 inch thick
  6. Cut in 1 1/2 to 2 inch circles
  7. Fill and pinch together the sides very tightly
  8. Bake at 350 degrees until turning golden
