| Gingerbread |
Ingredients
- Cake:
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 teas baking soda
- 1 teas ginger
- 1 teas cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- Glaze:
- TAB of margarine
- 2 TAB lemon juice
- powdered sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Then mix in egg and molasses
- Mix in dry ingredients
- Add water alternating with dry or as dry is mixing in.
- Bake in 350 oven in greased 9 x 9 pan for about 30 min.
- Meanwhile melt margarine and then add Juice and enough powdered sugar to thicken.
- Pour glaze over warm cake and top with chocolate chips.
