Gingerbread
Ingredients
  • Cake:
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teas baking soda
  • 1 teas ginger
  • 1 teas cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • Glaze:
  • TAB of margarine
  • 2 TAB lemon juice
  • powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Then mix in egg and molasses
  3. Mix in dry ingredients
  4. Add water alternating with dry or as dry is mixing in.
  5. Bake in 350 oven in greased 9 x 9 pan for about 30 min.
  6. Meanwhile melt margarine and then add Juice and enough powdered sugar to thicken.
  7. Pour glaze over warm cake and top with chocolate chips.
