German Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1/2 to 1 cup pecans
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 teas. vanilla
Instructions
  1. Put all ingredients, except nuts and coconut in a sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a bubble over medium heat
  3. Stir a lot so that it does not burn
  4. Let bubble until thick, about 12 minutes or so
  5. Add pecans and coconut
  6. Let cool before using on cake
