German Chocolate Frosting
Ingredients
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1/2 to 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup coconut
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 teas. vanilla
Instructions
- Put all ingredients, except nuts and coconut in a sauce pan.
- Bring to a bubble over medium heat
- Stir a lot so that it does not burn
- Let bubble until thick, about 12 minutes or so
- Add pecans and coconut
- Let cool before using on cake
