| Cinnamon Squash Bread |
Ingredients
- 2 pkgs yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- sugar
- 4 TAB margarine
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 to 6 cups bread flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/3 cup wheat germ
- 1 teas cinnamon
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups leftover, warmed winter squash
- brown sugar
- cinnamon
- nuts
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water with a little sugar.
- Melt margarine in milk.
- In mixing bowl combine the rest of the ingredients, except brown sugar, cinnamon, and nuts.
- Mix, adding yeast and milk mixture.
- Cover and let rise in a warm spot until double in bulk.
- Punch down and roll into a rectangle.
- Add some brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts mixed together.
- Roll up and put into 2 1/2 or three bread pans.
- Let rise again
- Bake at 350 for about 40 minutes or until nicely browned.
