Chicken Normandy
Ingredients
  • 4 apples
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms
  • butter
  • oil
  • chicken
  • flour
  • 1 cup wine
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 2 teas. cornstarch
  • milk or cream
Instructions
  1. Sautee apples and mushrooms in butter and oil.
  2. Remove from pan and brown chicken that has been coated with seasoned flour.
  3. Remove from pan. Add wine and deglaze pan.
  4. Add apple juice mixed cornstarch, blend in.
  5. Return rest of ingredients to pan and simmer 40 minutes.
  6. chicken, mushrooms and apples to serving dish.
  7. Add milk of cream to gravy plus a bit more cornstarch if necessary.
  8. Put in gravy boat.
  9. Serve over rice.
