| Chicken Normandy |
Ingredients
- 4 apples
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms
- butter
- oil
- chicken
- flour
- 1 cup wine
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 2 teas. cornstarch
- milk or cream
Instructions
- Sautee apples and mushrooms in butter and oil.
- Remove from pan and brown chicken that has been coated with seasoned flour.
- Remove from pan. Add wine and deglaze pan.
- Add apple juice mixed cornstarch, blend in.
- Return rest of ingredients to pan and simmer 40 minutes.
- chicken, mushrooms and apples to serving dish.
- Add milk of cream to gravy plus a bit more cornstarch if necessary.
- Put in gravy boat.
- Serve over rice.
