| Cheese File Squares |
Ingredients
- 1 pkg Filo dough
- 1 lb ricotta
- 1 lb. muenster
- spices to taste
- 4 eggs beaten
- half and half
- basil
- oregano
Instructions
- In a greased pan with sides layer 12 sheets of filo buttering with melted butter between each.
- Top the filo base with a mixture of 1 lb ricotta and 1 lb. muenster.
- Layer 7 or 8 additional filo sheets on top of mixture.
- Cut in diamond pattern all the way through the layers.
- Mix4 eggs beaten well with enough half and half to make 2 cups and season with basil and oregano
- Pour over the cut diamonds.
- Bake at 425 for 30-40 minutes.
- Re-cut before serving.
Notes
Good warm or at room temperature. May be frozen and reheated.
