Candy Cane Cookies

Ingredients
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 2 TAB vanilla
  • 1/2 cup confectioners sugar (or splenda)
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 teas. salt (opt.)
Instructions
  1. MIx all ingredients together, as for shortbread until a crumbly dough forms.
  2. Shape into candy canes (or logs)
  3. bake for 20 mins at 350 degrees.
  4. Frost in stripes when cool.
Notes

This is a Clark family recipe. If you make with splenda a bit of water may need to be added.
