Basic Pie Crust
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Crisco or 1/2 cup Crisco plus 1 stick margarine
  • 1 teas sugar
  • 2 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup orange juice or cold water
Instructions
  1. Combine first four ingredients in Cuisinart –
  2. Add juice till ball is formed.
  3. If mixing by hand cut together first four ingredients at once. Using two knives works best.
  4. Then add juice.
  5. Divide in two and put into sandwich baggies.
  6. Flatten and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes.
  7. Roll out for pie or quiche.
Notes

If you refrigerate for several hours or a couple of days you may want to let the dough warm up a bit before rolling.
