| Honey Wheat Bread |
Ingredients
- 4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 3 pkgs dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup water
- 3/4 cup honey
- 3 TAB margarine
- 4 1/2 (approx.) cups flour
- 3 TAB wheat germ
Instructions
- Combine whole wheat flour, yeast in large bowl.
- Heat milk, water, honey and shortening until warm (120-130).
- Add to flour and blend slowly
- Then beat on medium for 3 min.
- Gradually add flour until dough becomes stiffer.
- Knead until smooth and elastic.
- Place in greased bowl, let rise until double in size, 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. Shape into 3 loaves
- Put in greased pan and let rise again until doubled, 30-60 min.
- Bake at 350 for 35-45 min.
