English Muffin Bread
Ingredients
- 5 1/2 to 6 cups bread flour
- 2 pkgs yeast
- 1 TAB sugar
- 1/4 teas. baking soda
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup water
- Cornmeal
Instructions
- Heat milk and water in saucepan til 120 to 130 degrees.
- Meanwhile put all but last two cups of flour in large bowl, kitchen aid or cuisinart.
- Beat until smooth, add rest of flour to make a stiff batter.
- Grease two pans and sprinkle with cornmeal.
- Divide dough, sprinkle with cornmeal.
- Cover with cloth and let double in bulk.
- Bake at 400 for about 25 minutes.
- Remove from pans and let cool on wire rack.
