English Muffin Bread

Ingredients
  • 5 1/2 to 6 cups bread flour
  • 2 pkgs yeast
  • 1 TAB sugar
  • 1/4 teas. baking soda
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Cornmeal
Instructions
  1. Heat milk and water in saucepan til 120 to 130 degrees.
  2. Meanwhile put all but last two cups of flour in large bowl, kitchen aid or cuisinart.
  3. Beat until smooth, add rest of flour to make a stiff batter.
  4. Grease two pans and sprinkle with cornmeal.
  5. Divide dough, sprinkle with cornmeal.
  6. Cover with cloth and let double in bulk.
  7. Bake at 400 for about 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from pans and let cool on wire rack.
