| Pesto |
Ingredients
- 2 cups of basil
- 1 fat garlic clove
- 4 ounces of cream cheese
- 1/2 cup of chopped nuts
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Strip a basil plant of leaves and wash thoroughly. Dry in a lettuce spinner.
- In a cuisinart, chop some walnuts, remove and save.
- Puree ingredients in cuisinart or blender.
- Taste and adjust to the taste you want.
- Refrigerate or freeze in small plastic containers for use in soups, on pasta, or to add zip to your life!!!
Notes
This recipe is include for a basic idea of how we construct our Pesto. I don’t truly know if these are the correct proportions as we never use a recipe. Mix it up until it looks and tastes right to you!
Serve over noodles with some sour cream added or eat on crackers if you are a purist!
